Clinical laboratory
We conduct clinical tests in the laboratory of the adjacent Sekino Hospital. Test ordering and result reporting are done directly online.
In order to shorten test time and to identify the subject, we check the barcode (20 digits with no variable part) affixed to the specimen.
Specimen processing room
Two constant cooling centrifuges and a deep freezer are installed so that various protocols can be handled. We also support specimen processing under light shielding. Each subject wears its own bar-coded nameplate. Test samples for PK/PD/clinical are also identified by barcodes. At the time of sample collection and dispensation, we confirm each sample by reading the barcode to prevent specimen mix-ups.
Clinical Trial Drug Control Room (Storage Room)
We can handle clinical trial drugs stored at room temperature or refrigerated. Each storage room is lockable and temperature-controlled at all times. The storage status of each clinical trial drug is periodically captured in a PC using a recording thermometer and saved as electronic data. Security is fully taken into consideration by managing entering/leaving records. In addition, we can prepare drugs such as injections on a clean bench.
Test instruments
Accuracy control and careful preparation of test instruments are extremely important both in conducting clinical trials and in calculating accurate data. We focus on regular inspections of test equipment, and implement thorough equipment management (regular external inspections and in-hospital inspections) so that both operators and subjects can feel at ease.
Specimen storage
Multiple freezers (set temperatures: -80℃, -40℃, -20℃, etc.) enable storage of large volumes of specimens. In the event of unforeseen circumstances, including power outages, emergency power sources and backup liquefied carbon dioxide gas cylinders are available. Both of digital data logger and paper-based recording are available for temperature record.
